Areas of application
Self-priming centrifugal pumps are suited to the conveyance of clean, impure, gas- or air-loaded, corrosive, aggressive, non-foaming liquids. By the use of a half-open rotor with a low number of blades and a consistent cross-section between the blades, clogging is avoided. Due to their specific properties, these are preferably used when:
- the conveyance medium is so heavily contaminated that normal centrifugal pumps (normed pumps) can no longer be used,
- for an automatic process cycle following an interruption in operation, the safe start-up of the installation must be warranted,
- an interruption of the conveyance process for gas or air-loaded liquids should most certainly be avoided.
