The vacuum pump de-aerates the system suction line, separator container, conveyor pump. The conveyance medium rises into the separator container due to the vacuum generated, and is pumped out by the conveyor pump. Any gas contained in the conveyance medium is separated in the separator container and discharged via the vacuum pump. Seepages of air into this cycle do not lead to an interruption of the conveyance process. The automatic system controls the conveyance pumps according to the amount of air and water involved in the particular cycle. Safeguarded against dry run.
Application
GVE installations are specifically designed for the conveyance of liquids from the ground-water area. They are used in the following applications:
- Drainage via filter systems in the vacuum process
- Drainage in the gravity process
- Slope stabilisation
- Silo drainage
- Permanent drainage
Conveyance pump
100% sewage-suitable centrifugal pump in a block-structure shape. Benefits:
- Open rotor, non-prone to clogging
- Large, clear passageway (30 mm)
- Highly effective
- Very good NPSH values
- Shaft sealant by way of permanent grease-lubricated carbide (GLRD)
- Replaceable wear plate
Vacuum pump
Rotary-slide pump with oil-circulation lubrication (block structure). Benefits:
- Frost-proof
- High suction output
- Max. suction pressure: 40 mbar (-9.7 m)
- Maintenance-free for 1,000 operating hours = 6 weeks of continuous operation.
Separator container
In the container for gas separation, there is an integrated floater for the automatic pump controls and an integrated floater for the air-regulation valve.

Actuator
Conveyance and vacuum pump are actuated by rotary-current engines (230/400 V, 50 Hz, IP54, n = 1450 min-1).

The toggle box serves the acceptance of the electrical controls.
